hey tgs!

One of my fave sayings is ‘Be fearless in the pursuit of what sets your soul on fire.’ Soooo deep, I know. I’m not sure who said it first (I think it was a writer from Disney studios?), but it’s something I’ve always come back to when I’m feeling stuck in a rut. It means to go after the thing you’re passionate about, be it a goal in life or your biggest dream – to do something that makes your soul sing! It’s our gorgeous Heart and Soul issue and we’ve included the best tips to help you follow those dreams. So dream BIG, TGs, and enjoy this issue!…

LAYERS ON LAYERS Ahhh autumn, that in-between season where it’s kinda warm, yet kinda cold so you start bringing out those warm and fuzzy jumpers (#SnugLife!). Layer up in earthy tones and soft threads (or corduroy if you’re feeling retro), and you’ll be one step ahead of the ’rents when they tell you to pack a jacket. Outfit sorted! HOME IS WHERE THE ♥ IS Looking for ways to make over your room? We get it, no matter how many times you beg, you’re still not allowed to paint your bedroom walls turquoise. But, you can personalise your space with cute décor! We love a DIY approach (photo frames, inspo boards, dainty homemade garlands. Squee!). Otherwise, these adorbs pieces will do the trick… SPACE INVADERS To infinity and… beyond! We’re starry-eyed over this galactic edit.…

totally embarrassing

Silly moppet My family and I were going to Fiji for a family holiday. We were at the airport and we went inside a café to get some food. Somebody just mopped the floors and I slipped and went bright red because everyone in the café was looking at me! For the rest of the time while waiting for the plane, my butt was wet and my brother couldn’t stop laughing! Rebecca Sooo RED I was going to sing ‘Red’ by Taylor Swift at my school’s senior choir concert, but for some reason I got REALLY nervous. Last minute, I got my friend Sasha to sing it with me but we had barely practised together! While we performed, I started murmuring instead of singing, then I started laughing and I tried to pass the…

N›me: Kaylah Age: 10 Hometown: Gold Coast, Qld I was really excited when I found out my family and I were going on a road trip around Australia. We started in the Gold Coast; the first stop was Yamba, NSW. Then we went down to Sydney, up through the middle to Uluru and then up the top to Darwin. Uluru was SO big – it had lots of different markings on it. We flew a helicopter around Uluru and cycled around it. There were so many flies, we had to wear these fly mesh things over our hats. In Katherine, NT, we participated in an Indigenous afternoon where we learnt how to throw a spear, start fires with sticks, and we did some Aboriginal paintings. In Darwin, we got up close with wild crocodiles. The…

moving out!

Welcome to Packmore, a town whose residents are in desperate need of removalists. It’s a good thing too, coz you and your friends are Furniture Arrangement & Relocation Technicians (F.A.R.Ts for short), and you’re hungry for work. The aim is simple: move objects from their homes to the removal truck. The task itself is a little more trying. Avoid obstacles and damaging possessions, and keep customers happy. Can’t find the door? No problem! Just send your character rag doll-style through a nearby window. LOL! Characters are customisable, with heaps of inclusive options like glasses, hijabs, wheelchairs – the list goes on. Those who have played the Overcookedgames know how fun co-op games can be, and will jump at the chance to haul furniture with a bestie – if you can…
