new careers

In what looks eerily like Australia’s main range, Oregon’s Mt Hood produces some of the most picturesque late season photos year in, year out. What makes this photo so special is the Australian connection with filmer, Marcus Skin in the photo. 2016 marks a big year for young snowboarders from down under. In our last issue we saw the Odd Folks crew from Australia making an international quality movie, under the direction of Marcus Skin. Marcus then went on to film the world’s best at Mt Hood and other locations around the world. Jye Kearney has broken out into filming for the Method Mag movie. Tell us about the shoot. I went with Charles Reid, Frank Bourgeois and Jeremy Cloutier and headed down to Hood at the end of May to build some spring jumps. Darcy Bacha is the local there and he showed us the sickest spots and the sickest sunsets you’ll ever see. It was epic. How did you get on that shoot? I shot an edit of one of my other friends, Mark Tremblay, at Whistler and went to Superpark with him. After Superpark we road tripped up to Oregon to Mt. Hood. Mark got in a fight and got sent home so he couldn’t stay.…
