What an eye-opener! Getting a sense of how exactly the motion of the world’s oceans sweeps huge amounts of plastic trash into gyres is helpful for understanding the plan proposed by Boyan Slat. The fact that he’s already made so much progress on achieving his vision and that he was willing to take on such a huge and daunting problem in the first place really does give me hope for a brighter tomorrow.
