Sarah, the Duchess of York, has been in the public eye since she married Prince Andrew in 1986. Over the years she has weathered storms and scandals, and now, has reinvented herself as an historical novelist. The flame-haired Duchess, who still lives at Royal Lodge, Windsor, with her ex, is grandmother to daughter Beatrice’s children Sienna, two, and stepson Christopher, and Eugenie’s boys, August, three, and Ernest, one.
We caught up with her to talk literary inspiration, love of laughter - and being custodian of the late Queen’s corgis.
