Our storyDullstroom has a special place in our hearts. Shortly after we met, Mal took me to Hazyview but we stayed over in Dullstroom. As it was May, it was pretty chilly. We explored the town, went craft beer tasting, met the locals, experienced amazing food and stayed in a cute place called the Old Transvaal Inn on the main road. It was there that I met Mal's brother, sister-in-law and cute niece.Dullstroom was the town where our relationship started flourishing. We loved being there and have since returned for a bachelor party and just recently spent New Year there. From when I was small, I was scared that I might miss out on something: Therefore, I took part in everything, from athletics to netball, drama, horse-riding and public speaking. Name it and I was there! However, at high school I chose to concentrate on netball and to devote the rest of my attention to the debating society and my studies. On completion of my high-school career I was offered a contract by…

(Lindie Furstenberg Photography 084 301 6556)MONTHS BEFORE THE WEDDING• Make an appointment with the minister who will officiate at the wedding. Most ministers expect bridal couples to prepare themselves for the marriage or to have some pre-marital counselling. In any case, it is a very good idea to take a pre-marital adjustment course. Many brides prepare for the wedding, which is only one day, for months and months. But a marriage must last a lifetime. So take the time and invest in a pre-marital course – it is worth it. Usually the couple decides on a date first, but these days it is much simpler to choose the wedding venue first and to book it (taking into account what dates will best suit the parents), because then you have a…
