living like a local

We do love a celeb who loves Australia! Pop royalty and WHO cover star Pink, 38, was “so excited” about her trip Down Under that she marked the occasion by rolling into the Little Creatures brewery in Fremantle, Perth, for a cold beer. Pink’s husband, Carey Hart, 42, posted a picture on Instagram about their motorbiking date on his and hers bikes through the countryside. Before landing in Australia, the family fought jetlag with a stopover in Bali with their kids Willow, 7, and Jameson, 17 months, where they shared a bunch of family photos exploring. We’re looking forward to seeing Pink hit the stage on her Beautiful Trauma tour across Australia over the next two months where she’ll play a whopping 31 shows. Hope you enjoy the issue!…

golden glamour

Although Carrie Bickmore had taken to Instagram on June 21 to announce her pregnancy, The Project co-host made it red-carpet official on July 1 at the 60th annual Logie Awards by showing off her baby bump in a custom pink Paolo Sebastian gown. The Most Popular Presenter nominee thanked the designer and her stylist, Natalie Crighton, (see p. 8) for “always making me feel comfortable and glamorous even when I don’t feel glam inside. I could stand, sit, eat, go to the toilet and [dance]!” Bickmore wasn’t the only one celebrating for two. Love Child actress Sophie Hensser, The Block contestant Hannah Amos and Seven presenter Liz Cantor also made it to the Star Gold Coast in maternity formalwear, with Cantor posing with Bickmore in snaps. Sporting a different statement piece was…

death of an angel

Sunsets are proof that endings can be beautiful too,” Queensland teenager Larissa Beilby posted on Facebook on June 3. It was one of the 16-year-old’s last observations on social media. Tragically, on June 27, the body of the vivacious teen—known as a kind person who cared deeply about her friends—was found south of Brisbane in a plastic barrel on a ute driven by Zlatko Sikorsky, the man with whom she’d reportedly been having a relationship. A massive manhunt for Sikorsky culminated in a 28-hour siege, with the 34-year-old arrested at an apartment on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast on July 2. A 40-year-old woman and a 38-year-old man from the Sunshine Coast have been charged with accessory after the fact to murder. While Sikorsky did not appear in the Maroochydore Magistrates Court on July…
