the good fight

editor@who.com “Stop fighting,” I find myself saying at least 10 times a day at home. The thing is, I want my kids to fight—just not with each other! I want my girls to fight for their rights, for what they believe in and for those around them who might be struggling in life. This week, we meet the Women Who Fight (p. 40), including stars and humanitarians who are fired up to help, in the third part of our Women Who 2018 campaign. TURIA PITT RECOVERY AND RESILIENCE “We all have that inner strength inside of us, but we just never get tested so we never get the chance to discover how incredible we all are.” MOIRA KELLY HER LIFE FOR OTHERS “The thing that gets me to want to fight is seeing so man y injustices,”…

tessa james our baby joy!

TWO DAYS AFTER SHE first shared a baby-related photo on Instagram, Tessa James stepped out for breakfast with her husband, Nate Myles, and their new addition in Melbourne on Feb. 10. The actress, an ambassador for luxury brand Longines, had most likely worked up an appetite after participating in the Commonwealth Games Queen’s Baton relay. Motherhood “is incredible,” she told Sydney’s Daily Telegraph after the event. “I’m just so happy. It’s the biggest thing I’ve ever done and it’s extremely rewarding.” While the new mum declined to reveal the baby’s name or gender, a source reveals to WHO that James, 26, and NRL player Myles, 32, welcomed a girl. The former Home and Away star’s spokesman confirmed her pregnancy last August, a happy postscript to her 2014 diagnosis of non-Hodgkin lymphona.…

To cap off the day’s festivities, the groom’s father, Prince Charles, will host an after-party “for the couple and their close friends and family.” It won’t just be exclusive invitees who will be privy to the day’s events. ‘meghan is a perfect match’

HE HAS SIGNED UP FOR adventures in the South African bush, joining the gang on Ten’s I’m a Celebrity ... Get Me Out of Here!, but Paul Burrell, 59, who was once the trusted assistant of Princess Diana, is doubtful a future adventure for him will include attending Meghan and Harry’s do (see left).“I don’t expect an invitation,”he said.“My involvement in [the princes’] lives is quite a way back in the past.” Burrell, runner-up in the UK’s 2004 show, does expect Fergie, Harry’s aunt and princesses Beatrice and Eugenie’s mum, to be invited.“In some ways these last years have marked a new era where as Harry and William are maturing, they are moving back into their mother’s world,”he says. The former butler, who was a mentor on 2005’s Australian Princess, believes Markle…

a-list bash!

IT WAS DATE NIGHT FOR KIM KARDASHIAN West and Kanye West (new daughter Chi is just 4 weeks old) on Feb. 10, with the reality star captioning a snap from Ellen DeGeneres’s Los Angeles bash, “Mom & Dad.” But they weren’t the only couples showing up to fete the star, who turned 60 on Jan. 26. Chrissy Teigen and John Legend attended, along with Olivia Wilde and Jason Sudeikis, and Pink and Carey Hart. Gwyneth Paltrow gave fiancé Brad Falchuk a smooch in their first public outing since announcing their engagement, while her ex, Chris Martin, came hand-in-hand with 50 Shades actress Dakota Johnson. And despite a guest list rivalling an awards show red carpet—Drew Barrymore, Leonardo DiCaprio, Reese Witherspoon, Courteney Cox, to name-drop a few—the night, held in an opulent…
