welcome

It feels like every man and his dog have asked me if I’ve watched Squid Game. The South Korean Netflix series has become a global sensation, something we’ve not seen since Tiger King broke the internet last year. It’s even on track to overtake Bridgerton as Netflix’s most popular show of all time. So what is it about this rather gory survival drama that has everyone talking? Turn to page 38 to find out! If blood and guts isn’t your thing and you’ve missed the crazy antics of Joe Exotic and Carole Baskin, then we’ve got news for you! Tiger King 2 is returning along with some hit shows (including one of my favourite guilty pleasures, Emily in Paris). For your guide to all the must-watch shows, turn to page 76. I…

5 things we’re talking about this week!

1 Bea’s sweet baby name Princess Beatrice and Italian husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi welcomed their first child together on September 18. And in a sweet tribute to the Queen, they have named the infant Sienna Elizabeth – with her middle name coming from her great-grandmother. Cute! 2 Joel’s got double trouble Joel Edgerton and wife Christine Centenera have kept mum on details since welcoming their first child in May. But after being spotted with two strollers in Paris, it’s emerged the pair had twin girls. 4 Cam can’t see it! pip & michael second time lucky!

It’s been months since they called time on their short-lived relationship, but Michael Clarke and Pip Edwards are officially giving their romance another shot. Out for a day on the water, the couple settled rumours of their reconciliation on October 4 – with insiders revealing Clarke, 40, and Edwards, 41, have rekindled their romance and are “very happy” together. “They had a great time together”- SOURCE The reunited pair looked like one happy, blended family while out in Sydney Harbour, with Clarke’s daughter Kelsey Lee, 5, and Edwards’ son Justice, 15, also tagging along for the day out. Taking a speedboat out to their luxury yacht, the high-profile pair then enjoyed a blissful day on the water – with Clarke larking about with Justice and a pal while Edwards kept Kelsey Lee…

drew’s happy family

Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin might have paved the way with their “conscious uncoupling”, but Drew Barrymore is showing the world how to make co-parenting cool. The 46-year-old recently opened up about her relationship with ex-husband Will Kopelman, admitting the pair are still on great terms for the sake of their daughters Olive, 9, and Frankie, 7. “I think Will and I did a kickass job of putting our kids first and showing solidarity. I’m super-close with his family,” she revealed in a chat with actor Dax Shepard on his Armchair Expert podcast. “We still do holidays. I still stay at their house. I was like,‘The divorce is going to happen, but nothing’s going to change.’ And everyone just got on board and we did. And it’s a testament to every…

goodbye gladys

She’s appeared on screens at 11am in New South Wales for the better part of four months, but on October 1, Gladys Berejiklian stepped up to front the state for a very different announcement. “It pains me to announce that I have no option but to resign the office of premier,” the 51-year-old said in an impromptu press conference. During her emotional speech, Berejiklian revealed that she would also resign from parliament altogether, allowing “a fresh start”. It follows the news that the Independent Commission Against Corruption had decided to further investigate serious allegations that she had breached public trust. Over the past year, questions have hung over Berejiklian’s relationship with former Liberal MP Daryl Maguire – who resigned in disgrace back in 2018 – with whom she had a five-year secret…

change of hands

It seems a case of out with the old and in with the new for the Parliament of NSW. Just days after Berejiklian’s resignation, Deputy Premier John Barilaro confirmed he was also following the former premier out the door. Barilaro said it felt right to leave to give NSW a fresh start with two new leaders, although he admitted they had “big shoes to fill”. NSW’s Treasurer Dominic Perrottet was quickly dubbed the premier’s successor in a meeting on October 5 after a weekend of political jostling, with the Minister for Jobs, Investment, Tourism and Western Sydney, Stuart Ayres, given the deputy role.…
