How do you recover from your running? I have been told by various nameless websites that the perfect recovery aft er a long run should be a deep massage, a gentle stroll or a spot of yoga, followed by a nutritious meal and a long soak in the bath untroubled by domestic duties. But if I’m honest, most of the time I recover from my long runs by kicking off my trainers, shouting at the kids, putting on three loads of washing, eating toast, cooking lunch, and picking things off the floor while throwing resentful looks and gulping tea.
