…and relax I thought I’d share my garden makeover with you. We recently removed a dilapidated shed from our patio and the space this created is now a perfect suntrap. I bought the chair, table and accessories all for under £30 on Facebook Marketplace, and I found the metal trellis dumped behind some garages (it was a squeeze wrestling it into my car). It is now a lovely spot for my morning cuppa – and all done on a shoestring budget! Carmel Ferguson, by email Your Home says: This looks like the loveliest sunny spot, Carmel! We especially love the bold blue wall colour peeping through the trellis. Makeover magic While in lockdown, I decided to give a new lease of life to my very old kitchen. I sanded, primed and repainted the units, then…

I absolutely love your magazine, especially the craft section. Last month, I was particularly interested in the windowpane-style mirror. I’d just had a new front door fitted and was wondering what to do with the old one. Thanks for the inspiration! Olive Ruane, by email Your Home says: What a wonderful little oasis you’ve created, Olive! It’s great to see you’ve made the windowpane mirror from the magazine, too. ★ Olive’s letter has won her a Hydro-herb 3-pack gift set, worth £50!…

So, follow our top tips to get your hallway looking as tidy as possible before the big winter coats come out… • First and foremost, think about storage space. Hooks, drawers, baskets – you can never have too many places to hide miscellaneous items. Why not allocate a drawer for each member of the household? Then, you’ll all have a convenient spot to place your things when you come in, and pick them up from when you leave. Rather than lining shoes up by the front door, get yourself a shoe rack or, if you want them…
