best time to nest

All of a sudden it is raining babies in my life again. My friend Denise had her first, my friend Lucia had a second daughter, and old friend Brendan, best man at my wedding, added a daughter to his family too. I know they’re all fielding jokes about their lockdown activities, but seriously, these three babies were always on the cards, pandemic or not. It is frustrating not to be able to meet the brandnew little humans in person yet, but obviously we’re all being as cautious as we can. To make matters worse, my current pregnancy is a lot different than the previous one. This time I have to deal with morning sickness, for instance. But with the help, support and guidance of Your Pregnancy & Baby, I have managed to pull through. I am now more informed, equipped and ready for the arrival of our baby boy. My partner also had so much to…

My husband, Gary, and I live in Poole, South West England with our two daughters, Chloé and Sophia. When we moved to the UK, we left all our summer clothes behind. Well, were we surprised when we managed to go swimming in the sea the autumn we arrived. Although summer here is shorter, from mid-spring to mid-autumn you’ll find us swimming at one of the many beautiful beaches most weekends. However, on our arrival, I was a full-time mom, as I still had to do all the admin to convert my degree. While that process was unfolding, I got involved in running a weekly toddler and story group,…
