Auger Torque has been expanding its range of earthmoving attachments; recently showing its latest products at shows including the Diesel Dirt & Turf Expo. MULCHING This includes a multipurpose mulcher that has been developed for applications including ground clearance, tree and hedge trimming and removal, and tackling overgrown ditches. The mulcher is built to meet the needs of a variety of end users and is suitable for excavators, ranging in size from 5 to 15 tonnes, as well as skid steer loaders. As a child, growing up around his father, uncles and cousins, Dean has lived and breathed the industry since his earliest memories. The newest addition to Tigercat’s machine offering, the Tigercat 480B Mulcher, was launched in Australia in May with in-field demonstrations in Trawalla, a 30-minute drive from Ballarat in Victoria. A group of local customers including mulcher contractors and forestry contractors joined representatives from Onetrak (the official Tigercat dealer in Australia) to learn more about the new machine and see it working on-site. Komatsu and Cummins are celebrating the delivery of the 100th MCRS repower engine module to their partner Rio Tinto in a ceremony that also saw the handover of $19,400 to mental health awareness organisation Beyond Blue. The celebration and Beyond Blue cheque handover ceremony took place May 20 at Komatsu’s Welshpool facility in Perth, where its mining equipment is prepared before transport to customers, and where parts and components are held and serviced. With the right balance of power and weight, three Volvo R60D rigid haulers and a EC950E crawler excavator are providing crucial support to help mining company PT Prima Sarana Gemilang reach its monthly targets. With booming demand for coal, PT Prima Sarana Gemilang, a mining contractor based in Jakarta, purchased three R60D rigid haulers and a EC950E crawler excavator from Volvo Construction Equipment (Volvo CE) to help the company meet its 2019 target of producing 11.6 million cubic metres of overburden and 2.4 million tons of coal.
