Every machine in the EvoQuip range has a focus not just on performance, but also useability, transportability and fuel economy. Tricon Mining Equipment has brought the full range of Terex EvoQuip crushing and screening equipment to the Australian market, with a machine suited to almost any crushing or screening application. This, coupled with Telestack mobile bulk handers, Anaconda Equipment International, Matec Italia, Simem and various other brands, has cemented Tricon as a premier player in the Australian crushing and screening industry, Tricon’s Rob Price says. “The most exciting thing about EvoQuip,” he says, “is that there is a machine to suit everyone. “For a long time, customers had been forced to either buy a machine that was considerably larger than it needed to be, or one that was lacking in both build quality and…

Topcon Positioning Group has released its latest survey tablet that powers all Topcon GNSS, optical instruments and MAGNET software, simultaneously. The Topcon FC-6000 is an evolution of the FC-5000 tablet, popular with surveyors, engineers and others working in the construction industry for its durability, ease of use and powerful functionality, says Topcon. “The FC-5000 was the first tablet that truly blended the power of a desktop computer with an exceptionally field-hardy design that doesn’t miss a beat in bright sunlight, rain or dusty, windy weather,” says Cameron Waters, geospatial business manager at Position Partners. “This latest model brings even greater processing power and functionality, offering surveyors and other geospatial professionals unrivalled performance for all field applications,” he adds. The Tigercat 850 processor is a purpose-built roadside processor designed for high volume roadside processing. Tigercat says the 850 offers many advantages over excavator conversions, including better service access, higher cooling capacity and processor head optimized hydraulics. The Tigercat FPT N67 engine delivers 159kW (213hp) at 2,100rpm for Tier 2 and Tier 4f emission compliance. An efficient load sensing hydraulic system allows simultaneous machine and head functionality. The combination of high horsepower and harvester head optimised hydraulics lead to responsive control, quick feed speed and powerful de-limbing capability for high productivity. A high capacity swing system with dual swing drives provides ample torque and speed for high performance processing. The powerful, strength-to-weight optimised boom is designed specifically for processing and high stacking. Operator visibility is unmatched in the quiet, comfortable, ergonomically designed cab. The hooked boom…

Workers at JCB’s UK factories face a shorter working week due to fears that the coronavirus will have a huge impact on component parts arriving in from China. Production levels at UK factories are being reduced as 4,000 JCB workers and agency shop floor employees had their hours cut. “The disruption to the component supply chain in the UK comes at a time when demand for JCB products is very strong, so while this course of action is very unfortunate, it is absolutely necessary to protect the business and our skill base,” says JCB chief operating officer Mark Turner. “Production in the UK has so far been unaffected by the situation in China. However, more than 25 per cent of JCB’s suppliers in China remain closed and those that have reopened are…

Italian crushing specialist MB has been touring its crusher units across the US and Europe, giving construction-fair visitors a live look at the machinery in action. The machines were designed for operators looking for a way to reduce the costs of disposal and transport of material, fuel and personnel, says MB, which over 15 years in business has expanded into sieving, milling, handling and selection systems. With a crusher on site, says MB, material is recycled on the spot through reuse of the crushed material, transport and management costs are reduced, landfill disposal is eliminated and the crushed material is produced at the desired size. MB’s next big show will be CONEXPO-CON/AGG 2020 in Las Vegas from March 10 to 14 where MB Crusher will set up a test field at the Silver…
