Cat has updated three of its articulated truck models with a range of new features. The three models – the Cat 730, 730 EJ (ejector) and 735 – have received new operator stations, new controls, transmission-protection, hoist-assist, advanced traction control, stability-assist and a new fuel-saving ECO operating mode. In addition, the new 730 and 730 EJ have been given automatic retarder control and a hill-start feature. These particular items were already present on the 735’s C-Series predecessor and the updated 735 retains them. All three models are powered by a Cat C13 ACERT diesel, with the 730 and 730 EJ rated at 274kW and the 735 at 319kW. The new operators’ cab features an external ‘spinal-ROPS’ design that uses a rear-quarter glass panel that eliminates the need for a rear structural pillar,…

It’s hard to find grinder that can handle some of the hard woods that we have over here. “A new high-tech manufacturing plant has allowed us to hit the market with the Razorback horizontal grinder — a serious contractor’s track-mounted green waste grinder — at $594,000 plus GST,” he says. “That’s about $200,000 less than has been the case previously, so we are confident that operators needing one will be very pleased. This is an introductory offer and is so far under the market price that it’s not funny. “Razorback have a new factory and Hi-Tech equipment that allows me to supply them to the market at a much cheaper rate, with no compromise on the quality that we are known and trusted for. “Combine that with local backup and 80 machines out in…
