what i’m loving this month...

CHICAGO I knew this musical was going to be good – I loved the music and the choreography in the movie – but I was absolutely blown away by it. The all-South African cast has been touring internationally (and getting rave reviews) for nearly a year, but the show feels so fresh and energetic I thought it had just opened. It’s in Gauteng this month and if you can see it, you absolutely must: it will make you really proud to be South African and remind you of the vast wealth of talent and energy there is in this country. The question was about AA not having as high a success rate as a Finnish system that does not insist upon total abstinence. Any addict should abstain from the substance they’re addicted to, and any support group is valuable – I’ve been part of an AA family support group and have found it well worth it.
