BROOKDALE BEAUTY The sustainably-farmed Brookdale vineyards are situated at the foot of the lofty Du Toitskloof Pass where the granite soils are rich in clay and schist. The high-altitude site means the vineyards are exposed to strong winds that reduce yields and offer much-needed cooling in Paarl’s warm climate. Winemaker Kiara Scott uses traditional viticultural techniques to craft her wines. This third vintage Chenin Blanc is medium yellow in colour with a nose that displays notes of white peach, citrus, fynbos and vanilla oak spice. The palate is full, bold and coats the palate with layers of green apple, sweet orange rind, yellow fruit, and citrus blossom. Sustainable and seasonal produce and…
