Harper's Bazaar India

Harper's Bazaar India April - May 2020

Harper’s Bazaar is the oldest, continuously published fashion magazine in the world; Harper’s Bazaar has been the bastion of fabulous fashion for more than 142 years. As the 29th international edition, Harper’s Bazaar India matches the exacting standards that its cousins have set around the world in the areas of fashion, editorial content, and photographic superiority. Harper’s Bazaar India is a magazine that celebrates the best in luxury, design and style. It’s where fashion gets personal. While it’s a fashion magazine, and the emphasis is on fashion, it is also a champion of personal style. Harper’s Bazaar understands that women want to know the latest news and fashion trends, yet encourages a very personal expression of that style. It believes women are fabulous at every age, and is committed to celebrating that in every issue.

come together

AS WE ENTER DAY 2,10,455 OF LOCKDOWN, I would like to say I used this time to cook, master a new language, perfect the Pungu Mayurasana (yes, the wounded peacock, and yes, it looks exactly like it sounds and yes, it hurts), all with bangs perfectly trimmed by my newly steady hands. But that wasn’t the case. The truth is, I spent much of this time waiting. Waiting for the moment I can travel to see my husband, hug my loved ones, and go back to work. But through this period of stillness, there is one lesson I absorbed: How to be present in the moment. Focus on the little things. Find the daily joys that our lives are actually filled with. From the privilege of being able to self-isolate with no…

6 how to look chicin jeans

JEAN THEORY Acing casual cool is as easy as slipping on a good pair of jeans. But refining it? That’s where polished styling is key. This season, designers set a new standard for effortless dressing, showing a wide range of washes, cuts, and silhouettes with structured jackets and tailored button-downs. Stella McCartney’s ’90s-inspired twist paired stonewashed front-seam jeans with a utilitarian collared shirt and barely-there sandals, while at Celine, Hedi Slimane channelled the ’70s with high-waisted flares, a collarless vest, and white ankle boots. Daniel Lee’s collection for Bottega Veneta featured crisp, indigo wash denim and square-toe pumps as the base for a sleek double-denim combo. Givenchy’s Clare Waight Keller proved that opposites really do attract by juxtaposing distressed straight-leg jeans with an oversize blazer and heeled mules. And at Saint…
