Marching for climate change or fighting for a more sustainable fashion industry is all in a day’s work for this caring Dutch beauty.Talking of beauty, turn to page 94 to see the biggest trends from backstage at the shows. Nimue Smit is a model with a conscience. When she finally finds somewhere suitable, she WhatsApps us the location. Nim (as she is known) waves from across the restaurant, but you can’t miss her perched at the bar: she’s model tall with wide-set eyes and even features; on closer inspection you can’t help but notice her teeth that are each perfectly spaced – accentuated by her perpetual smile. She’s wearing head-to-toe black: some “really old” Zara boots, second-hand Uniqlo shorts, a French fisherman’s cap – a gift from her grandad, which he gave her because she’s so…

Bar My favourite bar is GlouGlou, a natural French wine bar in Helststraat, in the centre. Restaurant Vuurtoreneiland (Firehouse Island), is amazing but hard to get into. You take a ferry from the city to the island where there is a firehouse and greenhouse where you have dinner. Cafe I really like Scandinavian Embassy; it is a coffee shop with amazing cinnamon buns and Scandinavian rye bread with poached eggs and delicious roasted mushrooms. Shop Anna + Nina do jewellery as well as glasses and plates. There is a design shop called Moooi, which means pretty, and they have really beautiful designs I save up for. Museum Foam, which is our photography museum. They have amazingly curated exhibitions that are always do-able in a short time. You still learn a lot and visually it is amazing. Street The Bosboom Toussaintstraat. It…
