The eagle-eyed among you will have spotted on the masthead of recent issues that I am in fact writing this letter at one remove as I had a baby in February (Margot is five weeks old as I write this). While I’m away from the office, the magazine is in the trusted hands of acting editor Gabby Deeming, more usually our decoration director, who is doing a brilliant job of heading the team.
