Who would ever have thought that I would be able to sit and do my writing with a heater next to me, a blanket over my legs and my thickest socks on my feet? When I told a group of colleagues a little while ago how I was starting to enjoy working from home, one of them immediately answered: ‘And it’s not even winter yet! Wait and see how lovely that is.’ And how right she was. Now I can move through the house from sunny spot to sunny spot or, like today, sit snug and warm in front of my computer with my dogs sleeping peacefully on their blanket behind me.
