god is always watching over us

I recently heard a pastor’s wife share a powerful testimony when giving the offering message in their church. She told the story of when she had stopped at a shopping centre to buy some groceries. She had parked in the basement and quickly dashed upstairs to the store. When she got back to her car, she looked around and did not see a car guard. She shared how she felt quite relieved, as she didn’t have any small change on her (and one feels so bad and cheesy to say “sorry I don’t have any money today” – it can be quite irritating for both parties). A change of perspective The pastor’s wife packed her groceries into the boot and got in the car. She quickly glanced at her phone to see…

midgey's moments

So now its winter, a time for nature to sleep as the days are shorter, the temperatures lower, there is frost in the air, and maybe even snow in some places! I am pleased as it’s a good time for my family to stay at home with me, keeping warm and rested! Some people may think us doggies sleep a lot, but it’s a natural instinct for us – we know when we need to rest our bodies. Most people work during the daytime when they can see what they are doing, and sleep at night when it is dark. My Arnie (Aunty Trish) says that God made the seventh day specially for resting. She says rest is important, as without sleep and rest our minds and bodies will not work…

old testament messianic prophecies fulfilled by jesus

“Do not think that I came to destroy the Law or the Prophets. I did not come to destroy but to fulfil. For assurely, I say to you, till heaven and earth pass away, one jot or one tittle will by no means pass from the law till all is fulfilled.” - Matthew 5: 17-18 It’s amazing to discover that Jesus fulfilled more than 100 prophecies foretold 400-1500 years before His birth. These prophecies are specific enough that the mathematical probability of Jesus fulfilling even a handful of them, let alone all of them, is staggeringly improbable—if not impossible. Discovering God’s plan in the Old Testament As these prophecies reveal, God planned our redemption all the way back in the garden. Jesus’ death and resurrection were the most important events in history. It’s…

how to live well and long

Those who obey His commandments have the right to the tree of life and may enter through gates into the city. In Revelation 22:12 Jesus says, “Behold, I am coming quickly and my reward is with me to give to everyone according to his work.” How we live is important to God. “Blessed are those who do His commandments.” – Revelation 22:14. Notice, it’s not ‘blessed are those who live by faith or grace’, it is, “blessed are those who do His commandments that they may have the right to the tree of life and enter through the gates into the city.” – Revelation 22:15 Those who obey His commandments have the right to the tree of life and may enter through gates into the city. We clearly see that there is…

“my people are destroyed for lack of knowledge…”

We live in a time where abominations towards Abba Father have become the new fashion in the world. Unbelief is what drives society and cowardness of believers, or lack of boldness, is the new norm. Do we realise that this is the same abominable and unbelieving behaviour that the Word of Abba Father says will not have part in the Kingdom of God, but have part in the lake that burns with fire and brimstone (Rev 21:8)? The world is perishing at a rapid pace around us. How can we remain standing? The world is perishing at a rapid pace around us. How can we remain standing? Many are ignorant We, as believers, tend to quote Hosea 4:6 quite often, saying that people perish due to a lack of knowledge – but have…
