In August, more than 700 global leaders gathered together with +9000 other leaders at the Willow Creek Community Church for the 2018 Global Leadership Summit. In addition, the Summit was broadcast to +1000 satellite sites across North America and Canada. In October, the GLS will go global and reach 445 000 leaders by April 2019. You can look forward to hearing leadership principles taught by fantastic speakers who brought a sizeable boost of inspiration. They publically validated a need for strong emotional intelligence, core values, transparency, authenticity, and compassion in today’s leaders. Here are a few comments from attendees at the 2018 Summit: “I was encouraged by the response to the circumstances surrounding Willow Creek’s founder as it was addressed gravely and well. It encouraged me to be able to focus on…

in the blink of an eye

“For the Son of Man is going to come in his Father’s glory with His angels, and then He will reward each person according to what they have done.” –Matthew 16:27 We all need a reality check in our busy lives – This Scripture above is self-explanatory. Jesus is coming back in a blink of an eyelid. There will be no time to set things right in our lives, or to quickly go do some good deed, or have the opportunity to rush off and share the Gospel with loved ones whom we know are not believers. We will step into eternity in an instant. I have a list in my prayer journal of my loved ones who don’t know the love of Christ or the fellowship of the Holy Spirit, and…

salvation prayer

Heavenly Father, I come to you in the Name of Jesus. I acknowledge that I am a sinner and that I cannot save myself; I need your forgiveness and salvation. I believe that Jesus died on the Cross, and on the third day He rose to be with You. I confess Jesus as the Lord of my life. I invite Jesus Christ to be my Lord and Saviour and I surrender my life to Him. Thank you Jesus for your unlimited grace that has saved me from my sins. Please, Lord Jesus, transform my life so that I may bring glory and honour to You alone and not to myself. Thank you Jesus for the gift of eternal life.…

values to live by

“If then you were raised with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ is, sitting at the right hand of God. Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth.” – Colossians 3:1-2 Values are a set of beliefs and practices that we treasure and consider to be important as they form the foundation for the way in which we live our daily lives. Our treasure is what we consider as precious and highly valuable. Our heart wraps itself around it and we pursue it with great fervency and passion, devoting ourselves to it. It is important to realise that our beliefs shape our values. Our values, in turn, shape our character, and our character shapes our behaviour. Therefore, true character transformation can only take place…

“thy kingdom come, thy will be done”

“Thy Kingdom come” literally means to activate movement from a negative standpoint to a positive Godly result. God’s manifest Kingdom will literally thrust our beloved nation into peace and stability, which is so desperately needed. It is going to take a heart change and the Spirit of faith to visualise the nation changed. It is time for the Church nationally to rise up and release their power and authority to enforce and bring down the gates of hell. Our nation is on the brink of elections and political parties are trying to gain the upper hand, which has already brought about violence and much trouble. We, as the Church, must recognise and discern the real enemy, which are spirits of darkness with evil intent. God Has empowered His Body in this…

a world of i›erent inions

At the time of this writing, our city has just concluded hosting the National Arts Festival, and begun hosting an international conference to aggressively advance abortion all over Africa. Our lives are like this. We are surrounded by people who have ideas and agendas that may clash with ours, leaving many Christians unsure of what to believe, how to relate, and how to respond. 1 Peter 3:15 provides a helpful guide for us when it says: “But in your hearts set apart Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect.” The first and most important thing is that Christ must be set apart as Lord in…
