Spring to Life
ONE OF THE MANY THINGS I love about this season is that it seems to arrive overnight. All the patience of the winter months finally pays off when I turn a corner in my neighborhood and suddenly see trees awash in budding leaves—and, a week later, flooded with fluttery blooms. Similarly, it never ceases to amaze me when a new restaurant pops up out of nowhere: Just last night, I was stopped in my tracks walking home from work when I saw a storefront that had been dark and empty for months now illuminated, and its door swung wide open for business.
