What is beautiful? What does it mean to you? And why is it important right now? Science and plastic surgeons will tell you that beauty is symmetry. Leonardo da Vinci created a standard of perfect proportion for the human body based on the circle and the square. Most research into physical beauty is based on geometrics and proportion. They say beauty is in the eye of the beholder, albeit scrutinized by the public? That’s not what we are doing here. Nashville is changing and growing every day, and our Most Beautiful People list needs to be representative of who we are. I am proud of our team for presenting you with a diverse and inclusive list of beautiful people that I think accurately represents our fair city. So, you might ask, why is…

It’s the most beautiful time of the year! We’re back with our Most Beautiful People issue, and I could not be more excited about this year’s lineup. We have some incredible folks who are beautiful inside and out gracing these pages. From artists to financiers, creatives to entrepreneurs, this is an inspiring group of good-looking folks! And can we talk about our cover stars? We have never had a couple on the cover of the Most Beautiful issue, and who better to be our inaugural duo than Bobby Bones and his gorgeous wife Caitlin? This power couple was so much fun to chat with for the feature, and during our interview it was clear that these two truly have each other’s backs. Listening to each of them talk about what they find…

let’s get weird

Sometimes life throws you curveballs, and the only true response is to “get weird.” That was just the case for the new duo of Jade Jackson and Aubrie Sellers, and their first album as Jackson + Sellers is the result. You may recognize those names, since both women had (and still have) thriving solo careers as roots-rocking singer-songwriters. Tending to keep things close to the creative chest, each is normally fiercely independent, too. But when the pandemic hit and put their plans on hold, they decided to branch out, infusing Breaking Point (out Oct. 22) with a double dose of jagged-edge, femme-fatale power. rachel penn

For Nashville native Rachel Penn, there is a perfect gift to commemorate life’s most important moments: flowers. Whether it be in show of sympathy or celebration, Penn believes flowers can express any emotion we wish to convey. She discovered her passion for floral design could be much more than a hobby after the loss of her daughter, Lillian Grace Penn, who passed away moments after her birth in the spring of 2020. Amid the heartbreak, Penn found solace in creating floral arrangements every week for her daughter. Empowered by the need to honor her daughter’s life, Penn created Lillian’s Floral Studio, a sustainable boutique flower shop and creative studio providing beautiful blooms to support others as they navigate the important moments in their lives. —Nicole Brown Corporate meets Creative: My background…
