But you know what? I am ME And I won’t change for anyone. If I want to shed a tear, I will and I will continue to run stories that need to be told. I can’t change the person I am – I’ve learnt to accept ME! But it has taken me many years to get to…

week in focus

A National Tragedy THE country was left reeling over the first weekend of February when it learnt that three pupils of the Hoërskool Driehoek in Vanderbijlpark were killed. A walkway collapsed as a group of pupils was moving between two buildings. A fourth died in hospital two days later and 20 others were left with injuries of varying degrees. The school’s principal, Hein Knoetze, said that there was no way that anybody could have foreseen the walkway’s collapse. Businesses, the state and the public have since rallied behind the friends and families of those who lost their lives. In Preparation THE Chinese New Year is a big deal. Businesses, markets and shops, in countries that celebrate it, often close en masse as they await the calendar year to…

pump it up

(PICS: GREATSTOCK) THIRD-TIME mom actress Kate Hudson was spotted getting out of a friend’s car and into her pickup truck. In her hand was a strange looking contraption. A kettle? A vintage telephone, perhaps? Turns out it was a breast pump, Kate’s latest must-have accessory! She’s obviously determined that daughter Rani Rose doesn’t miss out on a single drop! ■…

like daughter like... wife?

(PICS: RTI) SEEN out with his newborn Westlyn was Josh Brolin, accompanied by wife, Kathryn, 31, and daughter Eden, 25 – although don’t ask us who’s who. They’re only six years apart in age, and could be mistaken for sisters, which is kinda awks (or is it just us?). Eden is a product of Josh’s six year marriage to Alice Adair, which also produced a son, Trevor. Kathryn is a model and his former assistant. ■…
