ED'S LETTER
We're only three months into the year, and my friends, family and I are already talking about how tired we are! It feels like time’s moving faster than usual, and there aren’t enough days at the weekend. I’ve been wondering what's behind my exhaustion. My findings? These feelings are because I’ve allowed little time for rest and self-care. Work, school runs, house chores, cooking, yoga and gym sessions have filled my weekdays, and at the weekend, social- or work-related events and my son’s playdates have left me barely any time left for myself, which isn’t OK. Lately, I’ve become intentional about planning solo lunch dates, going for hikes or walks on the beach and declining social events I don’t believe are necessary to attend.
