do you smile at strangers?

“By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.” – John 13:35 Recently, the Scripture above kept coming up before me and I felt quite convicted. I read it and wondered what the results would be if I did a survey of the people I interact with, would they feel that I loved them as Jesus would want me to?What does Christian love look like? We are the ones, chosen by God, to share Jesus’ salvation message to the world – and I wonder how we are doing? Let’s start with the basics, friendliness. salvation prayer

Heavenly Father, I come to you in the Name of Jesus. I acknowledge that I am a sinner and that I cannot save myself; I need your forgiveness and salvation. I believe that Jesus died on the Cross, and on the third day He rose to be with You. I confess Jesus as the Lord of my life. I invite Jesus Christ to be my Lord and Saviour and I surrender my life to Him. Thank you Jesus for your unlimited grace that has saved me from my sins. Please, Lord Jesus, transform my life so that I may bring glory and honour to You alone and not to myself. Thank you Jesus for the gift of eternal life. ■…

We use prayer as a means or a basis for justification. This legalistic mindset has done more harm to our prayer life than anything else combined together. The privilege of prayer We trust and rely in our own works for God’s favour and acceptance. We behave like prideful people who don’t need the grace of God…

letters to the editor

A JOY! Travel tour is a wonderful experience Hi Jackie and JOY! Travel team – I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for a wonderful tour to Israel, and the very special blessing you surprised me with. Thank you for planning it so well that we got the very best. It was such a blessing, and as with most things with God, I know most of what I experienced will still lead to great revelations and growth in my walk with Him. I also want to thank you for the surprise visit to Yad Vashem, I really wanted to experience it. I have never been on a tour before, I am so used to travelling alone or with family, and intimate spaces with strangers…
