50 days of fun!

What happened in the last 50 days from May 9 to June 27 has really been a blur. May 9th I took a trip to Mesa, AZ to pick up the freshly painted rpu body, which was mounted to the finished rolling chassis and included the upholstered seat. I headed back to Tucson and then out to Lone Wolf Speed & Custom which is located 30 miles southeast of town. The following Tuesday I had the opportunity to join Malena who had to go to the U.S. Embassy in Mexico…

Don Sangster is the owner of Sangster Buick GMC in Wenatchee Washington and as can be imagined, for an away from the big city dealership, gets the occasional phone call enquiring if a certain a car, pickup, farm tractor, snowmobile or another interesting item could be used in a trade. A few minutes later he realized the ’65 had a Nailhead in it. Having always wanted to get his hands on one he quickly called back and purchased it for $250. The engine got pulled, the rest of the car was junked, and Don started thinking…

vern tardel hot rod your model a

Vern Tardel, America’s premier traditional hot rod builder introduces his Hot Rod Your Model A, the first of his new “Big Book Series.” The 340-page book is a comprehensive how-to guide to the conversion of a stock Model A into a traditional, flathead V8 powered hot rod. The book is engineered with a lay-flat spine allowing it to sit flat on the workbench to make the step-by-step instructions easy to follow. This highly detailed, all-color book aims to help hot rodders who want to correctly build a traditional hot rod using mostly Ford parts. Surprisingly, only a handful of aftermarket parts are required, thus reducing the cost of the build. The 27 chapters in the book are fully illustrated in full color.
