The big brother that feels a little forgotten right now, Yamaha’s Super Ténéré is still around and, in all honesty, still has plenty to offer. So often the new hotness arrives and the model that was once heralded as the duck’s nuts drifts into the background at a rapid rate, the limelight shifting in both the public’s and the manufacturer’s eye. The ‘Super Ten’ was released 20 years ago — that is, by any measure, a very long and successful model run. One of the most innovative and identifiable features of Schuberth’s E1 helmet is the fully articulating peak visor, which can be adjusted to three different positions independently from the face shield and chin bar. The E1 can be worn with both the face shield and peak in place, or riders may opt to easily remove either piece for the ride.
