Fix Windows search
The search bar at the bottom left of your Windows desktop is the quickest way to find items on your PC. For example, you can type.doc to see all your Word documents or.jpg to see all your JPEG images. Alternatively, you can search for files, programs and apps by name (using keyword search terms). So it can be a pain if this handy tool isn’t working. Thankfully, there’s a quick fix.
First, press the Windows key+R to open the Run box, type services.msc, then press Enter. Scroll down the list in the window that opens, right-click Windows Search, click Properties, change the ‘Start type’ dropdown menu to Automatic (see screenshot above), click Apply, then OK.
