Framework builds its laptops with the ethos of a desktop: repairable, customisable and even upgradable when new parts come out. Now, the company’s offering a desktop too.
Surprisingly, though, the Framework Desktop seems to embody an opposite ethos to the laptop, being more of an integrated unit than a regular system. It comes with both the CPU and RAM soldered to the motherboard, meaning the only user-upgradable elements are storage, Wi-Fi, the case fan and a few decorative and connectivity components at the front.
