Quite often, just like how the colour of a person’s eyes can reveal some underlying disease, or other, so also, a country’s state, in terms of economy, law and order, stability of government and adherence to metro regulations, is reflected in the manner that electrical cables hang in an erratic manner, this way, that way, some naked, many sagging, very dangerously low and going all over the place in a most uncontrolled, erratic fashion.
This is seen in most Third World countries. I once remarked some 30 years ago, that one could not get away with connecting electrical supplies, for instance, in India. But over time, with distracting politics, illegal connections – especially in very crowded areas – are now the norm. There are too many, far more serious side…
