While facing a slim chance of survival and many complications, he fought hard to stay alive and today, with his passion for the Minstrels (klopse), the 31-year-old touches hearts with the message that teaches others not to take things for granted and that it is possible to transcend all of life’s difficulties.
“I can only remember we played in the driveway and I ran outside for the ball. That is all I can remember,” he said, recalling the car accident all those years ago.
