Nap and let nap, that’s my motto. Don’t wake me, and I won’t wake you. Napping was my whole life, until some troublemakers messed with my kitchen and I got blamed for it. But I’m jumping ahead. Let me start at the beginning. The day began like any other. I needed some kibble and a long drink of water, so I entered the kitchen at 7:15 a.m., just like every other day. How does a kangaroo joey grow? Norah When a red kangaroo joey is born, it’s only the size of a jellybean! The joey moves right into its mom’s pouch and stays there for about two months while it feeds on her milk and grows more. Like all moths, luna moths hatch from eggs into larvae, also called caterpillars. As caterpillars, they eat tons of leaves so they can store fat for later. After they’ve feasted, the crawlers wrap themselves in a cocoon, where they turn into pupae. Inside the cocoon, their bodies change and they grow wings. They stay in pupae form until spring, when they come out as big beautiful moths! Size They are about the size of an adult’s hand. My favourite ways to be active are running, kayaking and hiking! I like being out in open water and forests. My favourite sport is figure skating because I like the feeling of gliding on ice.
