There are occasions when it’s handy to set your PC to shut down later without having to wait around and do it yourself – for example, following an extensive antivirus scan or after downloading a huge file. Windows doesn’t have a feature that lets you schedule your PC to shut down at a specific time, but it’s easy to create a scheduled task to do this.
Press the Windows key, type task scheduler, then click that option.
