The Internet is taking over the world. In the case of action sports, as with most other things on the planet, the Web has changed the way we ingest our content. Web videos have been a huge part of that change and have made their own spot in the sport, a spot so impactful we created a Wake Awards category for them in 2010. Oh, the Nationals. It's one of my favorite events of the year. A lot of it has to do with the general atmosphere and excitement that comes with it being one of the biggest events and it's inclusion of competitors of all ages. This year, the Nautique WWA Wakeboard Nationals headed back to the Buckeye State, and with wakeboarding alive and well in Ohio, the fans and local riders were all stoked to have the best riders in the world descend on their territory. THERE WERE A TON OF GREAT MOMENTS MADE BEHIND THE BEAUTIFUL SUPRA SA 550 AND BRAND NEW SC 450. Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin, has bore witness to some of the most epic battles in wakeboard event history, and it followed suit once again this year with the Rockstar World Wakeboarding Association Wakeboard World Championships presented by Supra, which rolled through town Aug. 15–18.
