Back in 2003, aged 63, I decided to try something I’d never done before – a skydive! My husband, Reg, and sons, Steven, now 56, and Nigel, 54, thought I was mad, but I wanted to raise money for the Prince of Wales Hospice, which supported patients with life-limiting conditions and their families.
I had an absolute blast on the day, and wasn’t a bit nervous as we climbed to 17,000ft in the plane. Soaring through the air was amazing, and by the time we landed, I couldn’t stop grinning!
