How did it feel to be a big part of the live episode? I felt really honoured! I’ve not been back on the show that long – so to be trusted with such a massive story, with such amazing actors as Paula Lane [Kylie], Jack P Shepherd [David] and Sean Ward [Callum], was a real honour. I feel very lucky and I really enjoyed it – it was a great experience. How did you react to what was planned for Callum and Sarah? I felt physically sick! Kathy’s return from the grave continues to make waves in Walford this week, as she attempts to reconcile with her youngest son Ben. But there are more urgent reasons behind Kathy needing Ben to hear her out – she’s got shocking news about the whereabouts of his dad, Phil. He’s been kidnapped by her evil partner Gavin, so mother and son need to work out a way to rescue him! Phil Mitchell has come up against some wrong’uns in the past, but this time his days could be well and truly numbered – thanks to Gavin. “Gavin doesn’t take things quietly,” warns the show’s executive producer, Dominic Treadwell-Collins. “I didn’t want to bring Kathy back just for the sake of it.
