It is, therefore, not surprising that Channel 4 have chosen to mark the anniversary with a three-part series about the case.
Louise was just 18 years old and from a sleepy town called Elton in Chester when she flew to America for a gap year in the Summer of 1996. According to friends, she loved to travel and enjoyed going to the theatre.
