Mikey and his wife Rachael welcomed their first child, Archie, in November last year – but the labour turned into a nightmare.
“I had to have an episiotomy, but they cut through a vein and I lost one-and-a-half litres of blood!” says Rachael.
As the medics battled to stabilise the situation, the couple went through a range of emotions.
“It was like a chainsaw massacre,” shares Mikey, referring to the blood-loss. “Rachael was throwing up with the pain, and I had tears in my eyes.”
Happily, the trio are now enjoying their new life as a family of three. But there has been one fight – when Mikey tried to make ‘Martin’ Archie’s middle name, and Rachael shot down the idea…
