This week, we’ve had some lovely ones – including Shona McGarty who, when we spoke to her, had just celebrated 12 years as Whitney. Doesn’t that make you feel old?! Lysette on her son’s reaction to the plot… “As a mother of a teenage son, I think this is such an important story to tell,” explains Lysette. “I’m very lucky that my son Jimi talks to me, and he is also very unimpressed by people – his idea of rebelliousness is to be completely sober! “What was so funny at the beginning of this storyline is that he gave me a lecture of, ‘Oh, Mum, you guys think you can tell us as though we’ve got things to learn’,” she continues. “He then watched the whole thing play out on screen without saying a word, then after said, ‘Oh, that was really good’. Holby City is to disappear from its Tuesday evening slot for the foreseeable future. Insiders have confirmed that the show will take a break from our screens – in what we assume is a measure to slow down showings of the drama, so it doesn’t run out of episodes while production is paused due to the Covid-19 crisis. “Viewers have one more episode to look forward to on 14 April before Holby goes off the air – and it’s an absolute cracker,” whispers our ward spy. “As Essie plucks up the courage to go public with her cancer diagnosis, Xavier and Cameron head for an explosive showdown…” A return date has not yet been confirmed, though Inside Soap expects Holby to be on hold until early summer at least, while…

There’s more horror for Asha this week, as her family is dragged into the nightmare of her naked video going viral. First, her twin brother Aadi steps in to defend his sister, prompting a violent brawl in the middle of Victoria Gardens. He’s worked on just about every UK soap, but Tom reckons that one of his roles stands out more than the others – for all the wrong reasons. Years ago, he played a small role in Brookside which was to have major consequences for one of the soap’s most iconic residents. Kidnapped Leah faces one of the most horrifying moments of her life this week, as her captor Douglas tries to force her to marry him!
