Eager to please his parents, he’s a willing — if uneasy — patient. But not for long. Director Joel Edgerton (The Gift) pulls back the curtain on the sinister dealings at these “therapy” sessions, even showing one of the counselors imploring Jared to write a history of his family’s evil deeds.
